Ancient Scimitar - Concept Art
A concept of an ancient Middle-Eastern Scimitar I designed for my prop design module. Its supposed to be an ancient artifact, rumored to have mystical powers, and give off an aura of danger. Made a lot of initial designs, playing with Egyptian, Arabic, and multiple Middle-eastern styles to find a look that would be iconic to the eye. The final design was based on Khepri, the egyptian god that moves the Sun, with its scarab beetle motifs.
The final design, based on the scarab beetle and a subtle aesthetic that represents the Sun on the blade.

Second set of concept art. Thought the beetle aesthetic of 12 and 13 went well together too.
